25 Jan Microsoft 365 price change from 1st April 2023
Microsoft Cloud Services Pricing Adjustment
Microsoft have announced that they will adjust Cloud Services pricing in GBP for currency fluctuations that will harmonize prices closer to US Dollar levels. This Micorsoft 365 price change will take effect from 1st April 2023 impacting new subscriptions and renewals for all categories of Microsoft 365 Licence (i.e. Commercial, Non-profit and Education).
There will be a 9% increase as of 1st April. For most clients with an Annual NCE commitment, this will renew before the price increase so you will retain the March pricing for a further 12 months. If however you have any licences on a Monthly commitment, they will attract the price change from 1st April.
Microsoft will publish a preview price list for April incorporating the changes in March where we will advise you further when this becomes available.
Since the Newman Cloud product range uses Microsoft 365 at its core, this product will attract a similar increase.
Microsoft periodically assesses the impact of its local pricing for Cloud services to ensure there is reasonable alignment across regions and this change is an outcome of this assessment. The previous pricing adjustment for the UK market took place on 1st January 2017.
Azure subscriptions are not affected by this price adjustment due to already being priced in US Dollars and then converted into sterling at the prevailing exchange for the month in which consumption took place.
